Hi Tim,

I have renamed the other startkde and restarted KDE3, but it's still the same.
BTW, /usr/share/xsessions/kde3.desktop looks fine. It links to /opt/kde3/bin/startkde
and is the only desktop labeled "KDE3" (that I have chosen). Thus it's not a
problem of starting the wrong startkde script.

OK, maybe I should purge KDE3 and reinstall it.
