For trinity you are installing the wrong packages, you should be 
installing 'kdelibs-data-kde3' and 'kdelibs4c2a-kde3'.

Please pay attention that you are installing the 'kde3' packages and you 
will have the best kde 3.5 desktop ever. :-)
