Ok, it looks like compiz is broken for intel x server, and it's not 
related to the kde3 repository.
If anybody has gotten compiz working reliably without hanging on a 
lenovo t400 please let me know how you did it. ;-)
Tim, would it be possible to get k9copy and fusion-icon for kde3?
