That makes sense; you will need to have only the repositories for Karmic
listed in your sources.list file.  For example:
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/kde3-maintainers/ppa/ubuntu karmic main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/kde3-maintainers/ppa/ubuntu karmic main

Remove all references to Intrepid or Jaunty.
