So I finally found some time to (try and) set up compiz on my laptop 
again.  It used to work on 8.04, but seems to be broken now.  If I 
install only compiz stuff with -kde3, I can use only the sluggish gtk 
window decorator.  If I try and install emerald I have non-kde3 
dependencies.  This of course does not install cleanly because it says 
"already in package XY."  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
