Nobody is trying to strip you of the right to continue to use KDE 3. However, even though you have the right to continue using and developing KDE 3, nobody is doing that. I have no need to ask Gnome or XFCE users what their DE provides that KDE 4 does not, because their DE is not abandonware. Ask Gnome and XFCE users what KDE 4 is missing for them would in fact be trying to get converts. That is not my goal.
