I'm also from Germany and once I had the same problem. I think this has something
to do with your locale settings. Run
  locale
in your tty1 and do the same in a console in KDE. Then compare the results and you
should see a difference I think. For example, "LANG=de_DE.UTF-8" in tty1 and
"LANG=de_DE.ISO-****" in KDE.
